Cable winder – product & function
Design, function and equipment of the Cable winder at a glance.

Cable winder
Spool mount, sprung dancer arm and control rest on a rugged aluminium profile. The base is a 76 mm core and spools up to 500 mm in diameter, with other mounts arising as needed. Slotted behind a cut-to-length machine, test or measuring bench, the machine takes the outgoing cable off directly.
Across the whole spool, drive and steady pulling torque deliver uniform bundles. Load jumps at run-up and stop are caught by the sprung dancer arm, so strand and wire do not sag. You set the pace steplessly between 0 and 100 percent and reverse the running direction for left- and right-hand winds.
Cable, wire, strand and hose are laid down layer-true, clear of loops and twists. With the pulling torque held steady, the winds keep their shape and will not tip during handling. On wish, coiling and bundles arise for immediate further processing.
Operational with control and a 230 V plug, the machine turns up. Stand the profile, lay in the spool, clamp the cable start, start. Heavy winds up to 500 mm in diameter and 20 kg it builds with no extra drive. Special measurements, bespoke machine building and line fitting we take on ourselves as the maker.
In cable assembly the machine usually slots in immediately behind the cut-to-length machine and takes the cut material off. It likewise proves itself at the test and measuring bench, where unwound cable is collected into transport- and storage-ready winds for dispatch and stocking.

Drive plus a sprung dancer arm
Cable and hose are drawn onto the core evenly by the motor drive. The growing wind circumference is offset by the sprung dancer arm, which preserves a steady pulling torque throughout.
- Steady pulling torque for taut, shape-firm bundles
- Stepless 0 to 100 percent control adapted to the cutting pace
- Reversible running direction for left- and right-hand winds
- Full control integrated, operational with no cabinet
Why the Cable winder?
Motor winding under pull
Cable, wire and strand are guided onto the spool by the high-pull drive with a steady pulling torque. Each single turn is cinched tight by the sprung dancer arm.
Building bundles up to 20 kg
Sizeable winds are mastered too, up to a 500 mm outer dimension and 20 kg. Out come compact bundles that survive transport and storage unharmed.
Operational at once on 230 V
The full control sits inside, fed straight from the 230 V mains. With no cabinet in between, the machine runs at the cut-to-length station on the first try.
Coupled to the cutting pace
From the cut-to-length machine or test bench it takes over the cut material seamlessly. Stepless 0 to 100 percent and a reversible running direction align it to your pace.
Direct supply plus custom builds
You source the machine directly from Evotec. Coiling, bundles, differing cores and the equipment hook-up arise as needed.
Endurance-proof on cable lines
For sustained running on cable and hose lines the aluminium profile is ruggedly laid out. The machine is built at Evotec GmbH in Arnsberg.
